Here at The Bridleway in Langley Park we have eleven bungalows available on the government backed Home Reach Shared Ownership product from heylo housing.
With Home Reach you can buy between 50% up to 75% of a Dere Street home and a pay a low monthly rent on the part you don’t buy. More information on eligibility and affordability of using Home Reach to purchase your home can be found at www.homereach.org.uk.
With Home Reach, smaller deposit requirements and lower monthly payments make it easier to buy the home you’ve always wanted! You can initially purchase up to 75% of your chosen plot, paying a low monthly rent on the part you don’t buy. You will be granted a lease, which means you will be able to live in your home as if you’ve bought it outright. You can also buy more of your home in the future (up to 100% ownership, this is known as staircasing).
You are eligible to purchase a Dere Street Homes Home Reach Property if:
- Your household income does not exceed £80,000
- You have a deposit (at least 5% of the share value)
- The property will be your principal home
- You pass a financial affordability assessment

Secure your plot for four weeks while you sell your home!!
To take some of the stress out of buying your new Shared Ownership bungalow we have created the Home Mover scheme. For anyone who owns their home, reserving a plot before you have secured a buyer for your home is usually not possible. This runs the risk that the home you would like to buy could be sold while you are trying to sell your current home.
With Home Mover we take away the stress by giving you the chance to secure your chosen plot for four weeks. It couldn’t be easier! Simply speak to our Development Sales Manager and complete an enquiry form. We will speak to your agent for a few details and provided we are satisfied, you can then hold the plot for four weeks, secured with a Home Mover fee of £250.
If a proceedable offer is accepted on your property, then you can proceed with a Full reservation knowing you are one step closer to your dream home! The Home Mover fee will be deducted from the standard reservation fee so you only pay the extra.
You can cancel the agreement at any time you wish during the four week period. Should you decide to cancel the agreement, we will retain £50.00 of the Home Mover fee towards administration costs and refund the remaining £200.00.
If a proceedable offer has not been received on your property within the agreed timeframe, the agreement will expire automatically. On expiry we will retain £50.00 of the Home Mover fee towards administration costs and refund the remaining £200.00.
